"With its verdant mountains, a five-mile-long underground river, limestone caves, and spectacular scuba diving, its appeal is as clear as its turquoise waters," said Travel + Leisure on their website.
But apart from the famous attractions such as El Nido, Coron and the capital Puerto Princesa, there is another paradise that will absolutely make Palawan more popular than it is today.
Long Beach, San Vicente
Located in the north-western side of the island of Palawan, San Vicente's Long Beach is a 14 kilometers of untouched and uninterrupted shoreline. It is dubbed by local tourism officials as the "longest white sand beach in the Philippines."
Long Beach is a remote and breathtaking paradise that is blessed with what appears, in a good angle, a never-ending stretch of white sand beach, crystal clear waters and coconut trees that line up as far as the eye can see.
Unlike Boracay, Long Beach is still natural. There are no full-blown resorts and hardly any development. If you're into having your own space and like to stroll for an hour or two at the beach, then this is the place for you.

Getting to Long Beach, San Vicente
From Puerto Princesa
The trip from the capital to the beach is roughly 4 hours by van. Get off at a junction for San Vicente and take either a tricycle, motorcycle or a jeepney to the beach.
From El Nido
Tour companies in El Nido can arrange a van that travels to Puerto Princesa but will stop in San Vicente for 300 pesos. The van driver will drop you off at a junction. From there, take either a tricycle, motorcycle or a jeepney to see the Long Beach.
It won't last long
Take the chance to see the natural state of Long Beach before the massive change spoil this amazing natural wonder. Sooner or later, this Eden in Palawan will soon be populated with thousands of tourists like El Nido and the Underground River. Just so you know, an international airport is now being built, which could possibly be operational before the end of this year.
